Got a phone call last night;

some glass has blown out of your 8x6 greenhouse

Went down to have look and have lost around  30-40 sq ft

Phoned around and was quite shocked when I priced glass.

Best price; 2ftx2ft = £4-40 each

2ftx1½ft = £3-30

= £1-10p per sq ft seems expensive?

Do you think these are reasonable quotes?

Look forward to your opinions...Tg

Hmm...just about right..it's few years now that I bought some glass but even then I paid nearly that.
How about haggling bulk order discount..

Tee Gee,
I may have not the answer, but if you change to polycarbonate sheet the cost will not out way the time it lasts. Sheets can be purchased and cut to size.
If this does not appeal to you, it was a cost cutting exercise which worked out well for a neighbour of mine.

Got them back now to put some tread on them

Thanks for the replies guys!

I'm  a traditionalist  Landiman' it has to be glass for me I'm afraid, but thanks for the thought!

As has been mentioned, I will try to obtain a 'bulk' offer.

I have a few other areas that could do with a bit of repair so I will measure up then re-negotiate!

Thanks again.....  Tg
