I usually sow some carrot in summer but totally forgot this year. Is it to late?

I think there is one called frubund for Autumn sowing, don't know what it's like though.

Thanks Grannyjanny

I'm giving Frubund another go this year.  Last year/early this year they were doing well, but couldn't cope with the freezing (I forgot to fleece them  :-[)

If you sow them under cloche, as they grow keep them well earthed up and covered with dry straw in really heavy frosty times. But remove on nice days to stop other problems.

Never tried sowing them now, but I always sow some in early January in a trough in the greenhouse. You could try the same idea now - in a trough and move it under cover when winter really hits in.

Carrot seed is cheap & plentiful enough to experiment with.
