I started digging my desiree yesterday. Got over 13lb from 4 plants, so far, so I'm very pleased. One of the tubers weighed in at 1lb 9oz!

Anyway - some of them have scab. Will they store?

Fork

The scab is only skin deep...rub it off and they will store just fine!

I don't rub the scab off before storing mine.  However do make sure that the potatoes are really dry and check every so often that they're still okay.

Some of my Sarpos are very scabby indeed and more than skin deep. Unless it is something else, though I have looked it up and it matches the more extreme pictures. I am quite sure the worst will not store, so am eating them first.

I do carefully dry out the smoother ones, and am expecting them to store.
