Good Gourd 2

I am supposed to be growing a giant marrow from some seeds that a friend gave me from his last year, 4 other people are doing the same and have nice marrow shaped marrows. Mine is roound and about double the size of a football and still growing.  The plant has never had any runners on and the  fruit is green.  Any ideas, and will I still be able to show it in the heaviest marrow competion.

I suspect you have some cross polinated seed there!
Given the strict rules of veg showing I expect there will be some reason to prevent you showing it in that class...

That is odd. I wonder what it is. I can put it into a species(family) for you with a bit more info.It should be a pepo species (family) to be a marrow along with many other things. If you describe the shape and feel of the stalk and if the leaves are hairy or prickly I can help.

What a shame for your competition.
