Allotments 4 All

Now we all know digging is no fun,especially in this heat but how wonderful to see the robbin whose territory you are on watching every move -you might not see the grub that could be a problem but he does ;)

I agree, also they seem not to be afraid, hopping around only a couple of feet from you.

I love that! I used to be amazed how close the robins would get to my mum when she was digging in the garden. I think it was one of the things that sparked my interest in gardening and wildlife!

I don't think the robins have got used to us yet. I suspect there aren't many other gardeners in our area! The blackbirds and collared doves are pretty blase about me in the garden though. I'm sure they can smell that I'm a vegetarian and mean them no harm!
