This could  be due to the plant getting wet and insufficient air flow.

I would not think a cucumber would survive grey mould. Personally I would remove the infected bit and hope it restores it's self.

Are you overwatering by any chance?

Georgie

Is it powdery mildew that your plants are suffering from?  If so this is quite common and is due to dryness at the roots.  You can get sulphur powder from any good garden centre or you can make your own spray using bicarbonate of soda dissolved in water.  Good luck.

Mortality

I have something like this on my courgette plant, any white spotted (look furry) leaves I have taken off.
Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.

Le-y,
I had this problem last year, I was told to water the plants well and cut off the offending leaves. The cukes came out alright except they were knobbley on the outside and a little bitter to taste. The Guinea pigs scoffed them up. ;D

Got them back now to put some tread on them
