Can rhubarb be grown in cotainers as i am running out of space?

Yes but it will need a lot of space and water... I'd use a bucket sized pot or larger and stand it in a "saucer" so that it can have water at the bottom...

Yes, I had mine in a pot for about 4 years before planting it.  I didn't get a very good crop though whilst it was in a container but then it suffered because I didn't water it enough.  ::)  It has done really well since I put it in the ground a couple of years ago.

You could certainly keep it in its pot until you have somewhere to put it.

Keep it in a big pot for a while, but don't expect to get a crop till it's planted out and has the root room it needs. The roots on an established clump are gynormous!
