Morrison's have fruit trees in stock. Apple, pear, crab apple, morello cherry & another cherry & opal plum. All £5 each.

Don't resist ;). They are good. Gala, sunset, winter gem apples. William & conference pears. Ours were £3.99 last from Lidls & are doing really well.

Do you know what rootstock apples are grafted on?

I'll have a look tomorrow. We weren't bothered about root stock as they are going to be an oblique cordon.

Goodlife I can't see a root stock on the trees. Sorry. You could always grow some as a cordon.

Never mind...I did buy some from lidl last year..but then I had few spots were the size doesn't matter..but for this new cheme of mine ::)...I'll stick to my plan and keep all uniform with what I already have on that area...thank you for checking that out for me..
I think nursery it will be...roll on to the next winter ;D

Something came to my mind.. ::) Did anybody see last year one of the RHS magazines that had a picture of bramley apple tree with something like 120 varieties apple crafted on it...ohh...it made my day...now there is no limit for my apple collection..I have very large bramly and chiver's delight that I can do something similar..well try to..after seing that picture..what did I do...yes ;DI made start with it..I have 6 crafted on chiver's..and how many more varieties there were apples in the world..? ;D ;D ;D
