How big do the side shoots on tomatoes need to be before they can be used as cutting please.

I usually take them off at about two to two and half inches
When you wake up on a morning say "good morning world" and be grateful

If you have sideshoots about three days should be long enough...  :-X

You can strike them at 8 inches long but up to 4 or 5 inches long is good. Limit them to filtered sun (never full) and keep the mix moist, but not wet. It's a great way to increase your plants with little effort.

Use a sharp knife to remove them and cut on a slight angle to increase the area to produce roots.
