Allotments 4 All

Hi folks

We have moved our greenhouse, we only removed the glass and detached  the roof from the walls, so re-construction was simply re-attaching the roof back to the walls.  However we seem to have developed a massive bow in both sides, we haven't attempted to put the glass back yet as it looks like an impossible task.  Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions as to where we are going wrong?  

That can happen when you move green house...one of mine did..and yes, it is still bowed...I did managed to get glass in although it was tight fit..
I think over time your frame has settled on its way and new position even if level will be differen..maybe the old position did "go out" over time and warped the frame..
All you can do is loosen all nuts and and start re-tightening them from middle..work from centre to the ends..and you need one or two people pushing the frame in while one is tightening the nuts..
You are still going to get most of the glass in..in worst case you may have to get few new panes on roof...
Most important is re-doing all nuts..you don't have to take them apart..just checking all the joints are flush as possible and nut tightened.. ;D..it will be allright... ;)

....whoopss...brain is not fully functional today......
I should have said......check your corners are flushed and tightened first..and then work from the middle...........and PUSHHHH!

If the central uprights are bowed, then they are longer than the corners.
All you can do is correct the lengths.

Thanks for your help; once you know someone else has had similar problems it makes it easier to 'give it a go'.
