Hi just put my early spuds in today can someone tell me when i can plant my main crop ???

Mid to late April is the recommended time.  :)

I am Planting my main crop spuds in mid april

Same time as the earlies and seconds... early April round here in Oxford.... earlies aren't called early cos they go in early, it's cos they come out early.....
That said, you're unlikely to have a problem putting them in now as long as you fleece them if it gets frosty.... the idea is that the foliage comes out once the frost risk is past....
