Please don't be offended by my nickname 'Mortality'
As to its history it was the name of a character I played in an online game called 'Everquest'
The character 'Mortality Rate' was a female Dark Elf Necromancer, the name seemed apt at the time and has been used alot by me over the years.

Mortality

Just been in there this morning

Blueberry bush £1 (small but healthy looking)
Sweet Pea flowers £1 (6 types 1 pack)
Fleece 1m by 10m £1
Seed Potatoes £1 (Pentland Javelin)

They also had Raspberries, other potatoes and seeds.
No bird netting yet tho

I bought one 3 years ago too Mortality- same then, sad state but he sat for a year in his pot looking a bit dejected, gave it extra love, now fruits quite well, not many, maybe about 40 berries last year.  :-\ Think that's ok for a quid. My new ones don't look too bad at the moment. Fingers crossed.

Dirty Digger

Poundland in Lincoln have just had delivery of fruit bushes, it's new stock and is mostly sprouting leaves and the stalks are still green, so i've spent a whole tenner on some.

Nice one Poundland.

Hmmm, I've just decided to start a new thread in "edible plants" on growing fruit from seed, although these poundland fruit are a great deal, it would be a lot better again if I produce hundreds of the blinking things for virtually no cost at all......

Thanks will nip to poundland to get a blueberry

Pink Fingers

Yippee - a new Poundland store opened in Chippenham yesterday, so I no longer need to sulk when I see all the posts and can't get to a store to pick up a bargain.  ;D
