Hi experts (I hope)
I have a problem when using either google maps or Bing - at its worst with Google streetview.  For no apparent reason, following no particular single action, the map begins to track westward of its own accord. It gains speed till there is just a blur, there is no way of stopping it except exiting the program.  Has anyone else come across this, or can suggest a cure? I'm on a Gateway laptop running Vista, my browser is Firefox, I'm fully up to date and virus-free. (well the machine is, anyway...)
TIA

Do you have any mouse or cursor related problems on anything else?
Maps track using either the mouse or the cursor keys.  Try an external mouse and keyboard if you can borrow them.
Try using Chrome or Safari or IE to view the maps or even reinstall firefox.
Bit of an odd one small!
Moved to Portugal - ain't going back!

You are right there, Nick, it's odd! There are no other problems with the setup, problem is the same on IE, I've reinstalled firefox, but haven't tried external hardware - I'll do that. It doesn't half make you giddy watching the world rotate!

I get a small amount of drift, probably due to a cheap/dirty mouse, but nothing of your scale.
