Seen it on The Fool. Do you find your tomatoes do ok sown in January? I tried early sowings last year, but had massively leggy seedlings!

I seemed to be OK last year but then again I used artificial light to boost natural light for a few weeks. I will do the same again I expect.

I will also so some more in a months time for a later crop.

With the early sowing I cropped earlier than later sowings, had a longer season and less problems with blight.

Aha! the extra light explains it. I'm not so well equipped so I don't sow mine until March!
