Oh did I have fun trying to make paper pots! >:( :-X
Swore a few times, threw a few things but ended up with about 15 in a mushroom tray and filled with compo ready.
Kept ripping them getting the bean can out.
Tried the smaller thing inside bigger thing and kept ripping the paper. :-[

Ina, sadly it is about 50 miles as the crow flies from nearest bit we will moor at, North of Kings Lynn by The Wash.

Hehehe, hard a hard time making pots heh? Sounds like you were all (green) thumbs. One piece of advice, don't make them too thin, several layers is needed so they don't fall apart when you try to pick them up when you plant them out.

Sorry to hear that you won't come anywere near the lavender fields, it's so nice to visit but I'm sure you'll visit many other nice places.

I haven't had any problems with loo rolls rotting down, but they do need to be wet. I occaisionally end up with a cardboard collar around the plant, although below grond the rolll has gone.
