Is it just me that can't see it, or has the Listening Post disappeared?  ???

Sholls

I can still see it as a sub-forum of 'The Shed'. Maybe Dan needs to tweak your permissions?

Thanks!  I wondered about that.  I've tried searching for my own posts and it tells me that the board or thread doesn't exist or is off-limits.  PM to Dan methinks!  Thanks again.

I can still read Listening Post

Maybe once you become a mod you have to also become cruel & heartless so don't need to do any more listening!  :P

LOL!  :D  I didn't want to listen anyway, I wanted to be listened to!

Just realised I can't get into my gallery, or anyone else's for that matter.  Not sure about this moderating lark - got access the less of the site than I had before  ;)

Good thinking Batman!  I was going to tag onto my Stupid Stupid Stupid Woman thread but can't access it so this thread is now Stupid Stupid Stupid Woman Take 2.  For those that didn't read it, short version of Take 1 - woman pedestrian ran in front of my car to catch a bus, my car collided with her, she ran away.  I called 999.  I went to police station next day, got 20 page form, filled it in, took it back to police station couple of days later.  Got letter saying they were investigating then letter saying they were taking no further action at this time but that it would remain open for 6 months.

Take 2 - Late Sunday morning I was upstairs on a stepladder sandpapering and spotted a neighbour hanging around my car in the driveway.  I didn't think too much of it and, as I was covered in dust and paint flakes I just left it.  Took the rubbish out to the bins later on and thought I'll just check the car.  Found a tiny scrap of paper tucked under the far wiper blade from said neighbour saying sorry I scratched your car last night.  Scratch is 3 foot long by 6" deep and runs from the edge of the rear door across the rear wing panel and to the end of the bumper.

So, exactly a week later practically to the minute since the first incident........  Anyway, she did it on Saturday evening when I was at home, lights on.  She had to walk past my house to get to hers.  Why didn't she knock on the door at the time?  How did she do it?  Stationary car, plenty of room, big security lights on the area?  I checked her car later - it was a bit difficult to tell which part of her car hit mine - scrapes on all 4 wings.  So more paperwork, more insurance hassle.  {{{sigh}}}

Even if she was a stupid woman that ran in front of your car, I suppose you mean you hit her. Luckily she wasn't hurt, but I would be a bit worried if I drove a car and hit someone even if she ran out in front of you, could have been a child so when driving one has to watch for any incident/stupid actions by other people.  Just my opinion.

Trevor_D

How could she hit your car if it was in your drive? Or do you share a drive?

But if she's admitted liability, it's on her insurance, not yours. (That doesn't stop the paperwork, of course!)
Don't lose her scrap of paper....

ceres

Yes, sorry it's a communal driveway leading to the garages.
