Mulch for brassicas.

We've got the brassica bed planted & wondered if it would be of any benefit to put a mulch of grass cuttings down?

If nothing else it will keep the weeds down...  :)

I mulch mine with straw holds in the moisture and keeps the weeds down.

Dust with some lime if you do, fresh-ish mulch will be acidifying to some extent and would (to a small extent) promote clubroot.... The lime will slow rotting though.....

No, but those of us on acid soils need to...  :)
