Has anyone grown/is growing these? Had a packet in my (tiny :o) seed collection for some years, decided to try them this year as I read they are good up fences - and my new plot is fenced. They have been very slow to get going, most of my other beans are in production now, and have only just started to climb. Very curious about what to expect!

I didn't realise they were tropical until Saturday when I followed a link from the chinese leaves thread! Bought them from www.beansandherbs.co.uk just because I liked the name  ;D

I grew them one year in the greenhouse, but very small crop and not worth the effort in Glasgow.

If this is the same as Purple Hyacinth Beans they are a very long, strong vine, much heavier than morning glory and interesting with the nice flowers followed by heavy purple pods.
The handle on your recliner does not qualify as an exercise machine.

Thank you GrannieAnnie, if mine turn out like that I shall be very happy  ;D
