I bought some herbs planted in some of these plant pots.They look so good I hesitated to put them in the ground last night.

I've seen these in a shop near us - pretty pricey but they do look great, I think i wouldn't want to put them in the ground either!

We use their coir pots for all our seedlings for sale - I can certainly recommend them. Prompt, friendly service too.

i used these pots for my long standing brassicus plants (such as kale, cabbages, sprouts, broccoli, etc) and though they look great, i do pop them into the ground :) minimising root disturbance on transplanting.

another reason i use them is to give the root ball time to grow fairly large before it comes into contact with the surrounding soil which is suppose to help reduce clubroot occurring.

when removing the plant if the coir pot hasn't completely broken down then i just compost it.

Thanks for the link, makes interesting reading, and pleased to hear about some good news coming out of Sri Lanka for a change! But back on subject those do seem a lot cheaper than the ones I've seen in the shops!

Looks good, must admit when I first read it thought it may have been a joke, like the spagetti tree one years ago.  Lets hope that the workers get paid a fair wage for all their hard work, otherwise sounds a great idea.  Another thing to try, perhaps next year.
