Hi I wonder if anyone has any white and blue lupin tree seeds I could have, willing to swap if I have anything you need. I thought I was sooo clever when I had managed to re home them in our new garden but alas!! Something horrible must be lurking in the shrubs surrounding them they have started to wilt and look pretty sick!!

I would owe you big time if you could help

poor sad chicken legs :-(

Now you've done it Chickenlegs. I love tree lupins & you have now reminded me. I MUST get some :-*. I've had yellow ones before & even though they are aphid magnets I love them.

I dont get involved directly ( not too keen on the live feeding thing) but I will pass the info on cos it can be an expensive hobby so free food is good! He collects a new pair in 2 weeks so just getting the viv ready now. Are you a member of any of the dart frog sites?
Theres a meeting in the Reading area thats where he will collect his new babies...

The're planted all over the clay tips round where I used to live in Cornwall, as nothing else will grow there. They like very well-drained sandy soil, and die off if they're at all wet. They're also quite short lived, so if you do get one going, be prepared to start another from seed before too long.

Whats the difference between a standard "Russel Hybrid" and a tree lupin ?

grannyjanny

Tree lupins are shrubs with lots of small lupin like flowers on them. Very pretty.
