Allotments 4 All

I received two small grape vines today.  I thought they looked like dead twigs but did the usual scraping of the bark and found life! The buds look dormant to me, would that be the case? I am also wondering if I can grow these in pots?

I would have expected them to sprout by now... stick them in a pot, keep moist and see what happens...  :-\

I thought there would have been some life showing from the buds too! I'll take a pic of these and if nothing happens I will advise the company. I'm already having 3 fruit trees replaced, one diseased, one leaves all black, and one main branch broken! They have said I can keep the trees sent! I am afraid it has put me off using the company again!
