Any of you tried this, there's two types. I fancy this but is one nicer than the other?
Tokisan or Torasan?

My first seedlings of komatsuna (I don't know which type, it was from Realseeds.co.uk , I think) got damaged by fungus gnat, so I'm starting again. I do have quite a lot of Mispoona as plantlets now - a cross between tatsoi and mizuna (?), also from Realseeds - and can mention that it seems a little prone to slug damage. It's not doing very well where I have planted out, while lollo rosso lettuce is completely untouched. I'm not sure if they are related and the same may apply?

To save you googling like me.  ;)

"Komatsuna is a type of leafy Chinese cabbage, grown in Japan, Taiwan and Korea. It is also known as Japanese Mustard Spinach and can be stir-fried, pickled, boiled and added to soups or used fresh in salads."

If sown as early as now it has a tendency to bolt and/or not take off after transplanting - same for pak choi and pretty much all the oriental stuff.
What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about?

When's the best time to plant them, Delboy?
