Well just taken Andy into town... and had two hours to kill while he was at his appointment... went into Wilkos... three packets of flowers, antirrhinum, lavatera, and aster @40p each and three for two as well so 80p. Then later in "The Works" 3 for a pound bin...Sunflower, Lollo Rossa, and Kohl Rabi...
Total cost £1.80. But apart from the lettuce, the old ones weren't germinating, non really needed...
The bin had a great range of "Plantsman" Morning Glories but I had them all...

Went to the co-op for bread and bought Gardeners World as it had free tomato and chilli seeds, nearly bought last months edition as it also had free seeds, might go back for that later.  Have planted a few seeds (not too many, as I usually shake the whole packet in) in pots on kitchen window ledge.  I don't even like chilli but will be fun trying to grow.  Off to Morrisons later but must keep away from the seed display, although there may be a few I am missing.  HELP!!!!
Just got to go and check when my pension is due as I am now overdrawn at the bank.  Better not look through all the leaflets in the magazine as I may well be tempted to order some more seeds/plants.

I have been suffering tooo - they have opened a wilkinsons 10 mins away from my lottie !!  Bought Lettuce, cosmos and perpetal spinnach last week .... the week before it was sunflowers and a box of chicken pellets.

Far too tempting to call in on my way to the lottie ::) ;D
Leave only footprints, take only photographs ....

Same here saddad, most lunchtimes I get out of the office to one of the three local GC's and spend time walking up and down the seed displays, then when I occasionally (ha ha) go home with some packet of whatever the OH just says "not more bl**dy seeds". Just cannot help ourselves can we.

Borlotti

You should hide the seeds, like I do from OH when I got home with pink decorated wellington boots, which I have only worn once, which I had to have for the allotment.  They were reduced.  Oh well they are urging people to spend to help the economy, not too sure that packets of seeds will make much difference.

Didn't even leave the kitchen for my fix -Telegraph at the weekend two free packets 'Wonderberry '& very tiny yellow tomato fruit pea size, oh well!

saddad

I saw those Markfield nut managed to resist... those tiny toms sound a lot like "Broad Ripple Yellow Currant" so don't grow near any you want to save for seed as they can cross...  :-X

All my melons grow to that size........ :-[ ::) ;D
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
