Coffee Grounds

I have just been told that coffee grounds are a good slug replent is this true.  I know you can put it in your compost but did not know if it was an good for getting rid of slug????

I am not sure about slug repellent but surely after rainfall it will mostly discintegrate, dilute  and wash away into the soil.

Starbucks will give you used grounds for composting/mulching.  Here's what they say - nothing about slugs though!

As indicated by others I do not consider that they make a satisfactory slug repellent. I would add them to the compost heap, mixing them in well with other ingredients.
