we had our Orange broadband connection down for more than a day. I don't know if it was anything I did to fix it, but it's back up now. Trouble is, neither of the PC's with wireless adapters can connect to the net  ???

I often find that the 'turn it off and on again' approach can solve things. You need to literally turn off and unplug everything and disconnect everything from everything else. Leave it all off for at least 10 secs, including your computer. Then - turn on the modem; wait till it seems booted up and ready; then turn on the wireless device if you have one, and connect it to the modem. Then turn on your computer. You may find that everything can now talk to everything else again. Worth a try.

Do you use windows XP?.....and if so did you download windows service pack 3?,thats what I did recently and my PC was playing up.I deleted it again and most things Ok now.

I use Orange and I must admit I have had some connection probs lately, but when you phone they say its fine!!...... :-\

sorry I didn't know there had been any replies - the orange broadband went down for a day, then came back, but afterwards neither of the wireless connected pc's could connect. The wired one was fine. Both recognised the network connection. Tried configuring the livebox with no encryption but still no joy. Got one of the other PCs to connect just by sticking a LAN cable in the spare socket on the live box

Changed the BB supplier now, so it doesn't matter

Thank goodness our four machines are wired.  ::) ::) ::) ::)
