I fully agree with redclanger, we should ignore ACE , Lincoln is a wonderful city with a beautiful cathedral, city , and people.

It is strange how different things are acceptable in different areas.

When I lived in Grimsby it took me a long time to get my head around Blokes calling other blokes Duck.

Strictly a male to female thing here.

A bloke saying  duck to another one could end up with a thump on the nose LOL.

We say, ay-up midduk to both male & female in Nottingham and i must say I've  never had a thump for it

My dad was reserved occupation not because he wanted to be but in 1938 when he was 35 he went  to enlist in the Royal Navy but because he had four kids and being 35  they told him to go home out of five brothers he was the only one not accepted, believe me this gutted my dad, through the war he shovelled coal to feed six Lancashire boilers in a ammunition factory, my dad was not a stand back he was a hard case and would of gladly made ACE feel very comfortable if he ever came gobbing off up in Lancashire ;)
