Been to London this weekend, supposedly a cosmopolitan city which should be a shining example of free living to the rest of the world.

Well, try and get a pint in a pub in central London after 10:30pm on a sunday - bank holiday weekend or not....I could have left the pub at closing time, got on a train home and still made it back to my own local in time for a few pints. Saturday night was the same 11:15 pm the bouncers snatch your drink away and basically tell you to f-off. The pub we were in even had a big sign up advertising late opening on bank holiday Monday until 11:30pm - well woopy f'in do - a hole half an our extra!  :-X

Its pathetic.

Try Hunstanton mate in Norfolk, just come back from a couple of nights there and you can have a right through session from 1000-1200 in a couple ofplaces, our hotel was still slopping up at 0200 this morning not that I was any part of it ;)

You only have to go outside the M25 to find a pub that opens till a decent time..Londoners seem to be stuck in a time warp - i'd forgetten what the last orders bell actually sounded like.
