I seem to have fly beetle on my turnip seedlings. What would you do to prevent this or iradicate it?

SurreySteve

calendula

along with chinese cabbages, pak choy and radish at this time of year you have to fleece to avoid them - they make a real mess of the leaves

SurreySteve

how will this affect my seedlings as they are pitted already, shall i fleece now.

Give the foliage a good dusting with Derris to get rid of the beetles, then give them a liquid feed into the soil, to perk them up.

Then fleece them over, they should recover
Why plant rows of 24 lettuces??
