They are all beautiful, especially the bedding plants.  I wish mine looked as good as yours!

Amazing pictures, and you've helped me identify a "thuja" - thank you!  :)
If I ever get it all right - then that's the time to quit.

Very nice TG - when do you sow your Schizanthus?
Ninnyscrops, I'm not keen on conifers, but have a couple of low Thuja - they are also identifiable by the pineappley smell of their leaf, and are very handy as they appear to regrow greenery when you cut 'em back a bit hard  ;D

Quotewhen do you sow your Schizanthus

Any time from middle to end of March i.e. Week 11 onwards.

http://www.thegardenersalmanac.co.uk/Data/Schizanthus/Schizanthus.htm

The ones in the picture were sown on the first of April this year (week 14) as I have found that earlier sowings become a bit leggy by planting out time in my area.

So this looks like I will be revising my website again next winter.

This is not an uncommon practice as at the end of each season I ask myself if I think I have got things right this year. If the answer is No! and providing I can justify a reason for this difference I change my dates for subsequent years if not I leave good enough alone.

I hope that answers your question!

Thank you for that info, Teegee, did wonder if you sowed them very early, but looks like they do well enough sown in April!
