Rosebank

The leaves on my cucumbers have turned yellow and the little cucumbers are falling off.  I though it was a magnesium deficiency and sprayed with Epsom Salts but it is not helping.  There doesn't seem to be anything on the leaves.  Any ideas would be gratefully received.

Slugs have a nasty habit of munching through the stems near the base, but touching none of the rest of the plant... just happened to one of mine.

Hi, just checked and there doesn't appear to be any slug damage.  Have already picked 4 cucumbers but am not hopeful for any more.

Do you wet the plant when you water it or just the soil?

Cos sometimes they rot off if you;

a; over water them
b water from the top of the plant

Keep the gh moist by adding a few dishes filled with water around.

Rosebank

I water the soil but have been spraying since the leaves started to turn yellow.  Usually use a meter to test whether the soil is dry or moist.

Not that then, sorry Rose no furher ideas.   :'(

I think you may find it Cucumber Mosaic Virus. If so there is nothing you can do but pull the plants and wash your hands as it can spread to other plants especially Tomato,s.

Have you had an unusually cold spell? Left the greenhouse open over night? Cold can have that effect.  :-\

All my cucurbits had leaves turn yellow and wither when I out them outside. I just left them and they soon recovered.

Rosebank

I had wondered if the cold had got to them.  Wondered if the other half had forgotten to close the greenhouse some night.  We have had some really cold nights here in Scotland.  Am going to give them a week or so before doing anything drastic.  Many thanks to you all. :-\
