I put this on last year but there was no response.
I would reccomend you have a go at making one, its a brilliant tool that cost nothing and only takes minutes to make.

Made from a metal handle from a plastic tub, a piece of old tubing and a wood plug.

We use them as a push or pull weeder, they are great for getting right up to your veg and pulling the weeds away.
Because there are no sharp edges it does not cut into your vedge should you get to close and great for getting right up to spring onion, carrots, beetroot etc and pulling the weeds away. Ideal for weeding in your onion bed. If you have raised beds then make one of these you wont regret it.

So how about a couple of you fellow gardeners making one and reporting back with your opinion.

this is a short handled version but you can make it to your own length by adding a shank.

gosh that does seem to be a good idea! I massacred a few onions weeding the other day! But I am not so good at DIY... I will have a closer look at your piccies...
2012 - Snow in February, non-stop rain till July. Blight and rot are rife. Thieving voles cause strife. But first runner beans and lots of greens. Follow an English allotment in urban France: http://roos-and-camembert.blogspot.com

Yes?  What do you want?

Oh, sorry, saw the thread title and thought that you were calling me.

Seriously, looks like a great idea.  Was just out to buy an onion hoe but think I'll savemy money and try one of these instead.
