I find Scots bonnet are better grown in a 5"-6"pot under glass.

They usually only grow 12"-18" high so I find a pot of this size is sufficient.

It also helps with the harvesting because you can leave them on the plant on the kitchen window sill and pick them as required.

Another thing I seem to have noticed is; the hotter the chilli, the smaller the fruit and the hotter growing conditions they require.

Has anyone else noticed this?

SUPOSIDLY IF U GROW THE SAME VARIETY OF CHILLIES IN TWO DIFERENT TEP'S THE ONE GROWN IN THE HOTTER TEMP WILL BE HOTTER

IT WAS ON SOME TV PROGRAM THINK IT WAS RIVER COTAGE

NOT SURE IF THIS IS TRUE BUT WORTH TRYING TO KEEP THEM WARM IF U LIKE THEM HOT

The world's hottest chilli is about the same size as scotch bonnet.
But generally the size to heat is true for the same shape.

I wouldn't have thought growing them at various temperatures would make any difference.

I didn't mean different temperatures as such, I just meant some are better grown under glass than outdoors for example!
