Help needed please !!

I have mis-placed my HSL (Heritage Seed Library) catalogue for 2007.

Can someone please post descriptions for Tomato Carter's Fruit & Brooks Special ?

I received both varieties last January from HSL, trial was failure due to wet conditions.

Thanks

PS did anyone have success with outdoor Toms this last season ?
is so, what varieties

Cheers

Hope you all have a great Christmas and good health and happiness in 2008

Can't find my old Cat. at the moment Mikey... but if I find it I'll put them up. Some of our Lotties managed decent crops of outdoor toms but I just got good results fromthe Indoor ones...

Brooks Special.
Indeterminate. Cordon.  Donated by mr Brooks whose father and grandfather had also grown it.He believes this variety to be 160-180 years old.The variable sized red fruit are fleshy and good when eaten raw or cooked.Easy to  grow and productive. Seed guardian Mary Gotts says thin skinned with a sweet taste.Lovely eaten straight from the plant. One Ryton staff member described it as how a tomato should taste, but we will leave that for you to decide. 20 seeds

Carters Fruit
Indeterminate.Cordon. Bred by Carters in 1928, this is a cross between Sunrise and Ponderosa. Carters describe it as a heavy cropper that peels like a peach and can be eaten raw like an apple. Also said to have firm well flavoured solid flesh, an opinion shared by Seed Guardian Jackie Warner. She says, an attractive  deep red tomato, use as salad or for cooking. will grow either in the greenhouse or outdoors. 20 seeds

Cleo ......

I remember this crack about 50 years ago, but it was 'Sunny Scunny' (Scunthorpe) in our version .... still good though and made me chuckle, thanks
