no fair i want to forget!!

Well the good bit is, we'll be past the Winter solstice, and the days will be getting longer again.

The downside is that Sunday 23rd September is the Autumn equinox, and until roughly 21st March 2008, we shall have more hours of dark than light.

Its being so cheerful that keeps me going!!

LOL @ valmarg  ;D

It sounds so close when you say it like that, but i've got hubby's birthday, our anniversary and my birthday to go before then, so i'm forgetting all about it til 26th November  ;)

I HATE the dark nights!!! I leave for work in the morning and it's dark and then I come home in the dark... I feel like a flipping pit pony!!

they've got Christmas stuff in the supermarkets already.   >:( >:( >:(  And with this weather we just want charcoal for the BBQ.  Of course, we can't get that - it's the wrong season.

Christmas should be like the Olympics every 4 years. >:(

Si D

Tescos already have Christmas food in store - problem is that its sell by date is October!

Froglegs

Well you would avoid the the rush if ya stock up now. ::)

Froglegs

And the sooner they sell out of xmas stock(reduce it or skip it) the sooner they can start selling Easter eggs...so come don't be shy come and buy..you know it makes sense. ;).....OK and deep breaths and relaxe..there rant over. ;)

kitten

The only bonus I can see to shops having xmas things in now, would be that people who can't afford to do a huge shop just before xmas can buy bits and pieces slowly over a couple of months, in order to spread the cost.  Other than that, i hate it!!!  ;D

Oh no, i've obviously started something there!  Don't get me wrong I really LUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRVE christmas, just not in September!!!!!!

We usually blitz the family pressies in one day, then i mooch around buying hubby's pressies throughout December.  Now his children are grown up we don't have mountains of stuff to buy for them either, so all in all it should be pretty fun :D

Good point Amazin  ;) i must make a start on that list...
