Allotments 4 All

I'm have a problem ... (as if that's anything new!)
I am growing climbing french beans ... and guess what I think the labels got mixed up !!

I have six varieties on the go ...  co far I have ID'd .... 

First Cobra ... wonderful 8" long pods round sweet and juicy
Next in line is a flat bean with wavy edges  ............................................
Next is Madeira Maroon ...big mottled pods with pale pink flowers - the foliage looks much courser too
Next is Coco Bi-Colour ... but wont know that till the beans are shelled ??? !!
The last has flowers and very small pods so far ........................................

I also have Cherokee Trail of Tears going a blast ... and if I only ever grew one sort again it would be these .... wonderful fabulous taste !!

My question is :-

What do Tiger Beans and Lazy Housewife look like ???  'Cos those were the other two beans I grew !!  ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ;D

And are Madeira Maroons best kept for the beans of eaten as sliced pods ??

lazy housewife is a very old variety (terrible name) but no distinguishing marks but if you use a search engine you'll be able to find pics

as far as I understand it you can do either with the MM beans, good for both eating and podding but especially more so for podding

Flowerlady I must agree with you about the cherokee trail of tears. I have already got mine for next year along with coco sophie. My freezer is full to brimmin.
