I've got some tops that I'd like to spangle up with glitter or sequins but I'm not sure which glue I should use on clothes?  Also, what sort of glitter should I use?  Obviously I don't want my designs rubbing off in public or disappearing in the washing machine.

Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks.

You can buy specific glues for the job from Hobby Craft or big stores with a good haberdashery dept.

Glitters a bit of a no no in the washing machine, or even by hand.  Sequins and/or beads are much better because you can stitch them on, but I would still recommend hand washing

I often customise tops and things for Christmas, this is a belt I made a belt a few years ago, most of it's glued and it's still going strong.

Ollie. how on earth would you be able to do that sort of thing with wonder web, i thought you could only iron it on, and the washing machine, would it stay put , (the wonder web not the washer Hahahaha!!). Be interested to know.  Rosebud.

As cazy has already mentioned, you can buy proper fabric glue for exactly this eventuality  ;D

I'd recommend trying your local department store (we've got a brilliant Oldrids), Boyes, The Works, or even Woolies, and not forgetting the omnipotent Wilko's  ;D  ;D

You can actually buy glitter glue with the glitter already inside the adhesive, but just make sure it says it's for use on material & can be washed!!!  :o

Look forward to a pic of your finished masterpiece  ;)
