You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friends nose

Well done OO. I was about to say be really patient, keep trying, hit it, scream at it, calm down again, keep trying, cry, hit it again...that's how I usually get mine to work.  ;D
Don't throw paper away. There is no away.

Well ours is easy. You just press a button. But the old boiler you had to crawl about on the floor with matches. Not a lot of fun I must say! Enjoy your bath!

Our pilot light on the boiller used to blow out all the time, the flue was on a wall facing the wind. I got fed up pressing that piezzo button all the time and matches kept blowing out. Eventually had a brainwave and bought a Magic Self Lighting Candle from a joke shop - worked every time

Bionic Wellies

Usually means that the thermocouple has failed or the nipple is blocked (or gumming up) - Don't poke anything into the hole.  Neither is a particulary big job - if you are half competent then no problem.
