I thought I would start a thread showing the progress of my squash teepee


Mid May. Willow teepee planted up with 3 Red Kuri, 3 Buttercup Burgess and 2 Morning Glory plants.

Early July.  I've mulched the floor with straw. The Morning Glory plants have died, but the squash vines are doing well. One of the Red Kuri plants is growing very vigorously; it has almost reached the top of the teepee and so far produced 7 fruitlets! The first Buttercup Burgess fruit has also set.
And the willow is gowing too ;D; I keep pulling the leaves off!

 :o dandelion that's a beauty!  I love the straw mulching too  ;)

The straw mulch is for the benefit of the kids, not the squash!

looking good dandelion. How come your straw looks so fresh? Mine has gone all grey/black from the constant rain.
