Hello All
One or two of my pots in the greenhouse have a patch of a powdery substance on the soil, when I water it puffs up like a whiff of smoke.
the plants in the greenhouse seem not to be affected by anything.
Do I need to sort it

Yes. Empty the greenhouse, burn every plant, sterilise the g/house with pure bleach. Grow nothing in it for 5 years.!

Hmmm, on the other hand it could be just a collection of salts from where you have been watering with tap water and nothing to worry about............
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴

I think you may find that its the salts and minerals coming to the surface of your compost. its more common in cheap compost but nothing to worry about

Now would I do that?

It's just a fungi ;D No harm to anything, probably.

Kepouros

Sounds like a fungus but I`ve no idea which. It wouldn`t do any harm to water all the affected pots with Cheshunt Compound, just in case.
