Well after me boasting some time ago about how well and easily my parsnips grow I have had a resounding failure this year. Now I'd like to know if I should sow some more this late in the year. Would they grow?

MAY THE CORN BE WITH YOU.

Yes but if Winter arrives relatively early they will be small... They won't germinate if it gets too hot, like last July...

I sowed far too many as usual and mine are about an inch high got true leaves and are in toilet roll tubes indoors if you want some of them. I have a garden but planted enough for an allotment not sure on the variety but will look them up for you if you are interested

Thats nice of you debster but I think I'll just soldier on with the seeds and see what happens.

Mine are growing in paper tubes, about 1" high, going to try tham in a deep box and see how they do.

Think I might do what I did with my carrots and just broadcast the 700 seeds I have over some soil with added sand then hoe them in.
