Gourds ??

Are they Edible ??

Not Squashes like the Butter one and the Marrow Pumpkin Etc

But Theses Ones that Go Rock hard ??

Some of the true gourds are, but a lot of things are called gourd and they are not and  vica versa. Most are not great tasting though,many are more like cucumbers than squash.
Turks Turban ,Polo,Jade,Green Splendour,Narcissus,Rama all are edible, also the Asian bitter gourds are.

Not edible are ,Crown of Thorns, all the bottle and apple ones, the clubs and the birdhouses, swans and dippers.

That is far as my thinking goes, and these are accurate,but there are many more I don't know about
