Hi folks, I won a raffle and chose a new guinea plant as my prize. What a lovely plant it is too. Now I hope to grow more of this plant, as it won't produce seeds, I've been told I need to get cutting's, how do I get cutting's off a plant please.
Thank you.

Hi, do you mean a New Guinea hybrid Impatiens(busy lizzy)?. If you do probably the easiest way if you are not used to taking cuttings is to break one or two stems off at a joint and pop them about half way up into water on a bright but not in direct sunlight window ledge. They should develop roots quite quickly and you can then pot them on.PS dn't take too many at once or you will spoil the original plant ::)

You mean it doesn't grow guinea pigs...

Hi Larkspur, yes I'm sure it is the new guinea hybrid impatiens. Thanks very much on how to get cutting's. I shall give it a go.

To saddad, guinea pig's? I hope not, for I won't know what to do with them.
