Are the Black Buckets big enough to grow Courgettes ?

have had 'some' success in the past with Tatties in big plant pots (about the size of the famous black Buckits  ;D) 2 Tubers of Rocket to a pot.

Is it worth trying Courgettes in these famous/infamous freebies, with or without the bottoms cut out (of the Buckits that is ....  ;) ;D)

Have grown them previously at 2 plants to a Growbag with quite good crops.

Cheers

PS  Ms. Maxwell aka Buckit of Birmingham ... will you please stop spreading the rumour that I am interested in swapping live protein and weeds, you will get me a reputation for being a nutty eccentric ------ actually that sounds like a nice thing to be  ;) ------ Carry On Lish  ;D ;D

I hope so, Mikey.  I'll be growing one plant per 12" pot this year.   :)

Just remember to cover the buckets with foil - this will slow down the bio-degrading process.

Depends which way round you put the foil, in think shiny side out they will last a little longer. ;)

Long enough to grow my chilies in this year then?

I would say yes.

I'm going down this route this year think the buckets should be just fine.

Had my "famous black buckets" a few years....and they're still going strong....without foil.

Long live the black buckets....and and all who grow in them!  ;D ::)
