Does anybody know where you can get the blue barrels that are used for water storage in warwickshire??

It is puzzling me and the oh and when we go up to the allotment there is no one around to ask or if there is they don't have them and don't know where they came from.

please help to put me out of my misery and find out where they appear from....

thanks in anticipation

I got mine from an old bloke on the lottie site - he gets them from work, although I don't know what his job is. I suggest you find a site that has them and ask - that's how I found this bloke. Good luck.

Check out any local spice/soft drink companies as they normally have plenty to dispose of

I think it's a case of asking around - as flytrapman said, a lot come from drinks companies, and also cleaning product companies so sometimes bars and pubs have them too. My OH works for Foxes biscuits and he is trying to get some as they have them but is struggling as they are worried about "comebacks" cos they have contained caustic soda, and also they really belong to the supplier, not Foxs so he might have to buy one from them.  So I think the smaller companies might be the ones to go for cos they won't be as picky about where they go.

Thank you to all who donated to the Moonlight Half Marathon Walk in aid of St Catherine's Hospice - my mum and I raised just over £300!!!    ............     Thanks!  :-)

A lot round here come from ICI chemical company. They are used as outer packaging  for other things.

Ask around and you should find someone who can get them free, I can get 1000 litre IBC's with taps already fitted free in my area which I find are more useful than the barrels. If you would rather buy them you can get them from here http://www.dvfuels.co.uk/

I recently got some from a local farm - look in yellow pages under Dairy Farms - apparently some sort of dairy feed comes in them.  I had to pay £10 each for them as there is a deposit on them from the supplier.  Just need some rain now!
