Allotments 4 All

Hi, has anyone else just heard on Gardeners Question Time the new rules for lawn mowers.  they are saying that they will come under the same rules as a car as regards to what they throw out.  will this also include rotovate rs and strimmers. Someone please tell me that I have fallen for an April Fools joke.

April Fool's joke? Hey, didn't think of that!.....thought you could only 'do' jokes before mid-day?....there again, I remember seeing the spaghetti tree on an early evening programme that year....carbon emissions, MOT-type thingies for petrol & diesel engines....and airbags and seatbelts for safety?

I was giggling away as I drove, listening to this. The trouble is, with such a big-brother type state these days, I wouldn't be surprised if someone in government thought it was a good idea.

Have to admit it got me for a while.  Was about to tell OH about it - all indignant like - when it dawned what the date is. :)

What about if you have a goat to keep the grass down, will its emissions have to be monitored as well?   :D

It's cows' emissions that are getting everyone's goat at the moment ;D
