Grape Hyasynith (sp!)

I have numerous of theese pretty purple plants coming up in my garden, like usual they are in the wrong place! when can I move them? can i split them and give some away (really have loads). all the pictures I've seen they have alot less foiledge than mine can I cut back the leaves at any point?

If you mean Muscari then weedkiller is the best method of removal. Dig them up and throw them away (not on the compost heap!). If you really want to keep some then the time to move is just as the leaves have died down. They really are the most invasive thugs though.

really didn't think it was that bad, though it is all round the garden in random patches!
so the one in the veg patch (help full) i can be brutal with and pull it up! Thank you for your help.

Like spanish bluebells you have more trouble getting them out....

We moved a clump last Autumn - this is now flourishing in it's new situation. I think they panic when they're divided as they're less in numbers, and so grow grow and grow to make the clump that size again!

Sorry, but no. They self seed with a vengeance and flower within 3 years. The bulbs divide, every year into 2 or even 4, every one of which will flower and produce seed.
