Hi there , i went out last thursday and spent a fortune on furniture for our living room in our flat. So today my girlfriend decided to wipe the coffee table with a baby wipe  >:( >:(

Now there are white streaks all over the top of it  :'( :'(

Is there anything i can do to remove them, or shall i just kill her now??

thanks

Is it wood? if so wipe with an almost dry cloth then, polish with a little OLIVE OIL and let it dry then buff it up.  I hope this works for you it does for me & lots of other peeps.   Also if you ever scratch wood,  bite a Brazil nut in half and rub it over the scratch the same way as the grain goes. always works may need a second rub  if a bad scratch. Hope this helps in some small way.  Rosebud. ;D

Kev, try wipeing with a damp cloth and rubbing a nut on it about 3 times during the day so it soaks in.i do not know if it works on pine but does on any dark wood , but do give it a try and let me know.  Brazil nut.

What about SPURS last Sunday, :'( :'( Opppps i`ll get me coat byeeeeee. ;D ;D ;D

If that does not work try a small amount of LINSEED oil should do the trick.

They need to show some bottle on Sunday thats for sure , will say hello to sammy.

OliveOil

Brown vinegar - my grandad was a french polisher and brown vinegar is what he uses for things liek this!  Just pour it over and leave it for a couple of hours

OliveOil

BTW baby wipes are lethal!  I remember when mine were young i would push them under the sofa - if one was poking out of the packet and it touched the fabric of the sofa it would leave a dirty bleachy browny stain!

Just think if they can do that to your table, what are they doing to baby?

I know and these are  the fragrence free ones supposedly natural  ???

With my midwife head on, I have to say that when I worked on the community I could tell which mums used babywipes and who used ordinary water by the state of their babies bums!

Loads of nappy rash in the wipes babies. Wipes are ok for the odd use when out travelling, but I personally would not recommend them for prolonged or 'usual' use, water and cotton wool work just fine! ;D

As you say, when you see what it has done to the finish on a table.....ouch! :-\
If it's not pouring with rain, I'm either in the garden or at the lottie! Probably still there in the rain as well TBH....🥴
