A very little moan

Like most people on this site I think, I sat for ages pouring over the seed catalogues & eventually placed an order on line with Suttons.  Got home this week & there was a card through the door from their carriers ANC saying they had tried to deliver but we were out, so I phoned them.  Could they deliver it again

When
Tomorrow
What time
Same time as today
But we will be out then can't you come at another time
No
Can you deliver to my work address
No
Can you leave it behind the wheelie bin
So after work I drive across the city to the godforsaken industrial estate & into reception.  Hand the bloke the card which he takes without a word.
Wait for at least 10 mins when he eventually comes back & chucks the box on the counter & barked 'identification'.  I handed him my driving licence which he scrutinised for several seconds, checking my photo & address & then gave it back to me again without a word.

As this was one parcel of about 4 I have presumably got to go through this procedure again maybe several times. 

Think next time I shall drive to the local garden centre & do the lot in one go & maybe even get a friendly word from the person on the checkout.

Let Suttons know what has happened and that you won't be using them again, you never know they may send you something to say sorry  ;)

Yes agree with Legendaryone we do not complain enough !! go for it and see what they say and offer you.

If they want the business they should give a better service and their Representatives

I agree, you should let the seed company know how bad the service was from their couriers, it's simply not acceptable.

Let's hope if they send you something as recompense it actually gets delivered, otherwise you'll end up traipsing over to that bl**dy industrial estate again to collect the flaming thing lol  ;) ;D

Agree, let the supplier know. I ordered some books from a specialist supplier and the delivery via DHL could not have been more helpful/cheery and we're out all the time.

It's in Suttons interests to keep the customer happy, and no one needs to put up with offhand/uncaring/rude service.

Godd points, that's exactly what I'm going to do right now.  :)
I'll let you know what sort of response I get - if any.
