Schimmeig Stoo, if so what are they like and where did you get the seed?

They originate in the Isle of Mann apparently, came across them in an American book today.

Cheers, Andy

Baccy Man

Schimmeig Stoo do not originate from the Isle of Mann they were bred by Tom Wagner of Tater-Mater Seeds who labelled them the Manx because his granfdather was from the Isle of Mann. If  you can track down the Tater-Mater seed company they may be able to tell you who they supply seed to I think the company was based in Washington but I'm not 100%.
The only seeds I have ever seen for sale have actually been Schimmeig Striped Hollow which have been mislabelled as Schimmeig Stoo, very similar but not the same.

Thanks, if they aren't From the Isle of Mann I'm not really interested though :'(

There are two articles in plant magazines with the same story in today, both mentioning a Dr Russell Sharp, who is a plant scientist trying to return the heritage tomato 'Manx Marvel' back to the IOM. It quotes a website if you are interested;
