Never mind the first signs of Christmas in the shops (this year it was wrapping paper in Woolies in August), I may have found the first sign of the coming season - A Potato Day!

Buckingham Nurseries - one of my all time favourites so I hope you don't mind the plug - have announced their Potato Day over the weekend of 17/18th February.

For Gloucestershire or thereabouts, there's one at Dundry Nurseries near Cheltenham, on Sat/Sun 20/21 Jan 2007 :-

Cheltenham. 9.30am - 4.30pm. ~ 100 varieties of seed tuber by the individual tuber and 3kg bags, admission free.

It was a great fun scrum this year!
